ShiftKey Wallet
A consumer wallet built for trust and everyday utility — earned-wage access with the polish of a flagship fintech app.
ShiftKey Wallet gives healthcare workers fast, dependable access to the money they’ve already earned. The product lives or dies on trust, so the work was as much about restraint and clarity as it was about features.
What I worked on
As an Android engineer on the Branch platform, I built and maintained customer-facing wallet flows — account, balance, transfers, and the everyday surfaces people return to between shifts. The goal was to make money movement feel immediate and certain.
What mattered
- Clarity over cleverness. Financial UIs earn trust by being legible and predictable, not flashy.
- Polish in the small moments. Loading, empty, and error states are where a finance app feels solid — or doesn’t.
- Consistency across the family. ShiftKey shares a foundation with the other Branch-powered wallets, so platform thinking paid off everywhere.
